The Man Behind the Brand

With over three decades of experience in hospitality development and management, Sunny is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Amburaya Hospitality, a Thai-based hospitality and real estate group recognized for its strategic partnerships with leading international hotel operators such as Marriott International and InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG).

Since its establishment in 2000, Amburaya Hospitality has built a diverse portfolio of hotels and real estate holdings across Thailand, employing more than 700 staff nationwide. Under Sunny's leadership, the company continues to strengthen the performance of its existing assets while actively pursuing new opportunities to expand its land bank in Bangkok and Koh Samui. Amburaya Hospitality also seeks to acquire or lease high-potential properties where its management expertise can enhance value and long-term returns.

In recognition of his contributions to international relations, Sunny was appointed Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in Surat Thani, Thailand, in 2018. He also serves on the Board of the Honorary Consul Association of Thailand. Together with his wife, Rasina, who runs Bangkok's International Festival of Dance and Music, Sunny remains an active presence in Bangkok's social and diplomatic circles. They have two children, both graduates of leading international universities.
